The seventh annual Izzy Award was presented April 15, 2015, to author NAOMI KLEIN (for her landmark 2014 book “This Changes Everything” and columns in The Nation and The Guardian) and investigative journalist DAVID SIROTA (for reporting on corruption and collusion in the $3 trillion U.S. pension fund industry that included malfeasance by public TV). Both honorees spoke at the ceremony, which was dedicated to the late independent journalism icon Danny Schechter, the “news dissector,” who died on March 19.
